Free Thinkers

Baptists have always been free thinkers, it used to get them in a lot of trouble, Individual soul liberty with the "priesthood of all believers", each person responsible for their relationship with God.

No relationship between church and state, individual self governing churches.

Freedom of conscience and the importance of religious liberty.

Belief in biblical authority but emphasising the importance of individual interpretation and application of scripture.

In an increasingly authoritarian world the baptist heritage is always relevant.
